Mechanical engineering plays an essential role at every level in society.
Our course is for you if you’re a newly qualified or practising engineer looking to improve your expertise in specialist areas. Our MSc will enhance both your theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as:
- computational fluid dynamics
- advanced thermofluids
- advanced manufacturing techniques
- dynamics of solids
- heat transfer.
We offer well-equipped research and teaching laboratories where you’ll develop your academic and professional excellence. Our options cover a range of application areas – you’ll be able to specialise in your area of interest.
You’ll be supervised by research-active faculty and become part of our vibrant international community. A combination of taught modules and project work provides an excellent platform to further your career in mechanical engineering. We also have strong links with industry and will help you with your professional development.
Accreditation
- Accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Candidates must hold a CEng accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate first degree to comply with full CEng registration requirements.
