Autumn teaching
You learn to identify different forms of business organisation across a range of national economies.
You also investigate the pressures for change and forces of convergence, which are eroding the differences between national business systems.
You study:
- corporate governance
- the role of the nation state in business and financial institutions
- the historical constitution and recent transformation of advanced economies including the UK, the USA, Japan, France and German
- the nature of business organisation in China and the other emerging economies.
You look at key empirical elements of a range of national business systems with a comparative/institutionalist theoretical approach.
