Learning from data has become increasingly important to address policy questions and generate timely and effective business intelligence.

The module combines cutting-edge data analysis with established and emerging assessment approaches to provide you with an understanding of the uses of data and evidence to drive impact. Building on a diverse set of data sources (such as publications, patents, social media, research funding, firm-level data), you gain analytical and visualisation expertise to evaluate the innovation process at multiple levels (such as organisations, regions, nations), integrating them into broader theories of change and assessment approaches. This will help in producing responsible consumers of metrics.
